September in Review

Things I Loved About September

+ The fall makeup! Brick red (Maybelline's Color Tattoo Metallic Pomegranate with MAC's Amorous Alloy on the lids) or bronze eye shadow (Maybelline's Bad to the Bronze) all over the eyelids, Mac's Plum blush, and berry colored lips. I love it all. Add a strong brow to that.

+ September 29 marked the one year we brought home our puppy! We weren't as prepared as we thought we were back then, we learned a lot, but we have no regrets! She's a constant source of love, amusement, and cuddles. I'm glad I took so many photos of her as a puppy. I can't remember how small she was a year ago, I just remember her biting all the time and getting angry when it was time to go inside, lol.

+ My husband is having a lot of breakthroughs at work: his relationship with his boss, his projects, recognition of past projects, he's going to have a paper published in Science magazine!! I'm so proud of him!

+ September weather was pretty good for a majority of the month! It's nice to see the sun and for it to be the perfect temperature outside.

+ My little orchid is blooming again after a year of nothing. I'm happy I didn't give up on it!

What I'm Looking Forward To In October

+ Guest post with my husband reviewing a book we both read this past summer.

+ Posting more!

+ Reading Brothers Grimm Folk & Fairy Tales. I got the complete first edition of the tales translated to English. Apparently it hadn't been done before and the tales are drastically different compared to the final 7th edition of the tales. Apparently the brothers collected the tales initially for someone else, but he didn't want to use them so they compiled all they had for their own collection. Jacob wanted the tales changed as little as possible to keep their purity, but Wilhelm was the one who edited the tales and added Christian morals.

+ Bringing out my fall/winter clothes.

+ Going more vampy with my makeup and clothing.

+ The movies to watch. We watched Cabin in the Woods last night. I loved it. It's a horror movie that won't scare you.

+ Cozying up in the evening with a hot beverage, a occasion-appropriate candle lit, a book, and my dog.
